ZOMFG: Carlos y Los Cachorros??? - Part II

Looks like there is truth behind this. I sent Mr. Carlos a message through MySpace’s messaging system and asked him if he was quitting the hip hop scene and jumping back into norteño. Carlos stated that it was very frustrating not being able to even get a demo through the door or through the mailbox. He did mention an earlier post from his “Shalee-boi” MySpace page in which he stated that he and the singer/bajo-sexto guy from Masizzo (yes, the new one) would be collaborating on bring back Carlos y Los Cachorros. Here is a direct response from Carlos via MySpace:
==================
“This is the bulletin I sent out pretty much explaining the move I made with the now ex-singer of Masizzo. As for my English stuff its there and has been good to me. I think the hardest thing about it all is the whole “NO UNSOLICITED DEMOS ACCEPTED”. Seriously what a drag. Can’t even get a demo passed a doorway or mailbox like that. I hope this bulletin helps, and if you ever need some exclusive stuff just let me know and I will be more than happy to lend a hand.

As you all may know or if you didn’t I was playing guiro and doing la animacion for Masizzo. So many of you have asked me to start playing again and well as of Sunday this week I “Carlos Rodriguez and the singer/bajo-sexto player of Masizzo “Matthew Luna” said goodbye and decided to join forces and start up Carlos Y Los Cachorros again. We didn’t quit Masizzo because of hate, problems of any sort the truth is that we chose a different road. I missed playing the accordion and singing. Matthew just felt that he had ideas that he wasn’t able to express and well we feel that there is a chemistry here with Matthew on the bajo-sexto, vocals and me on the accordion, and vocals that I think the public is gonna enjoy listening to. We will be switching back and forth on the vocals live, which will give you a variety of style for you to enjoy at our concerts. So to all and any fans of Carlos Y Los Cachorros and any fans that “WE” may have made within our time of being with Masizzo keep an eye out cause we are already booking gigs, and working on our first music production. Our style will consist of traditional hardcore accordion and bajo-sexto action with a modern touch of todays sounds. Very up tempo rancheras and cumbias mixing it up with some romantic groove cumbias, boleros, and balads. I am very excited to be starting up again and I think we are gonna do well with you alls support. As to Masizzo we wish them nothing but the best, and thank them for the opportunity of being able to jam with some of the greatest musicians we have delt with. God Bless them, and we wish you all much success.

Sincerely,
Carlos Rodriguez & Matthew Luna”

Their first gig (I’m assuming its their first) will be at The Drink in Florida. Welcome back to the scene, Carlos, and good luck with your career.
