Write-UP — The Panther Accordion

Popular for some time now, the Panther Accordion (manufactured by Hohner) is an exceptional accordion. As a matter of fact, if you haven’t figured it out yet, its an exact “copy” of the Corona II. Whats the difference?
Branding.
The reeds are solid Hohner reeds (for you dry conjunto freaks out there), so there is no degredation in the quality of the sound. For a regular Corona II or Corona II Classic, you pay what, in between $999 ~ 1200 brand new, correct? A panther will cost you about $400. Isn’t that sweet. The only downside (which might actually be helpfu…) is that it only comes in GCF (Sol) and in a matte (flat) black finish. Personally, I think thats great considering if you want to completely customize your scheme, you could have someone paint it to your liking for a pretty cheap price (not that big of a deal) and if you wanted to have it tuned to a different key, it wouldn’t cost that much. Otherwise, $400 for a brand new accordion with Hohner reeds?
This is definately a winner in my book and I highly recommend this accordion for anyone from beginner level to self-proclaimed “masters.” Below are some links where you can buy them online:
