Video of the Week — Veronica y Avance
Here’s a nice video of a young Tejano band called Veronica y Avance. These are young cats bringing back an old school sound with fresh young vocals. The execute what they’re trying to do really well. Check them out.
You might be saying “Man, that’s the old Orquestra / Chicano sound.” True. But what’s cool is that they are so young and able to pull it off.
If you check out their MySpace page, you can watch Episode one of their “Tejanocast.” (LOL do you know who I am? You sound a little too much like ABJ there). Hey Veronica, if you read this, put this on your quotes section in your band’s page:

OK SO HERE IS ANOTHER COMMENT TONITE CAUSE I JUST FELT LIKE VENTIN A BIT. SO YEA THIS VERONICA, IS SMOKIN HOTT. THANKS VINCE. AND SHE HAS A PRETTY GOOD VOICE TOO. THE BAND WORKS GREAT TOGETHER. HAVEN’T SEEN HER LIVE BUT I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT SHE IS A FAVORITE OUT AT THE TEJANO MUSIC AWARDS FAN FAIR HELD OUT IN SAN ANTONIO EVERY YEAR. KUKA OUT IN ALICE PLAYS THEM QUITE A BIT, SO LET’S SEE IF OTHER STATIONS GIVE THIS BAND THE EXPOSURE THEY DESERVE.
