Tex-Mex Kadillaks’ New Single: La Retirada

If you haven’t heard yet, the Tex-Mex Kadillaks (Tex-Mex Record) have officially released their new single entitled “La Retirada” from their upcoming second album (as per press release dated October17, 2007).
“La Retirada” is a song written by Jose Alfredo Jimenez and was recorded by Conjunto Bernal back in the days (many many moons ago). Many TMK fans will agree that although it has a sound different from the keyboard sound they used in the first album, the Conjunto / Tejano combination they used is just right. In simpler words, it kicks ass.
You may purchase the single through the Snocap system via their MySpace page (this is the only way you can get the single until the album comes out). You may also listen to it on the New Singles player here on tBL (right side).
The new album’s title is unknown at the moment but has a scheduled release for February 2008. Let’s see what TMK brings to the table this time.

Thanks for your comments Vincent. I had to do a double take with the title of the song by the Kaddies, I thought it said “La Retardada”!
