Nando Leaves LSR
According to a legit Univision interview, Nando has left Los Super Reyes. Nando states in the interview that there are some differences between himself and Cruz Martinez, the owner of the band.
We’re not taking sides or anything, but Nando says in the interview that Cruz wants to do things the way he wants to. In reality (and with all due respect) the band owner can do as he pleases with the group. As a band member, you have to “follow da leada leada leada follow da leada leada leada.” Leaving the band was a great decision for this reason: if you’re not happy and you don’t voice it, it will have a domino effect on the rest of the band. Everybody wins.
Nando does not want a relationship with Cruz or the band the way A.B. has had with them. We wish Nando the best of luck with the future of his career.

I run a band and my question is: How is it that AB runs the show that isn’t healthy for the band?…Just curious

jesus can you repeat the question…i didn’t quite understand it…do you mean kinda like “why is it okay for AB to run a show but not ok for cruz” ??

My question is: How is it that AB runs things, that Nando doesn’t want the relationship to be the same with him and Cruz?
Both Cruz and AB (I think) are the leaders of their own band,
so what’s the difference between how either one of them run the show, if there is any?
Hence my question, how is it that Ab treats his peoples, that Nando doesn’t want to have the same kind of relationship with Cruz?
Again, I was just curious, because i’m the front man for our
crew and sometimes it’s better to learn from other peoples mistakes- before you lose any good members?
Sorry if I lost you, or not making sense…

Or is it the “my way or the highway” mentality?

I dont think they give thier band members the credibility that they deserve because they are what makes the music. You have to adjust everytime you loose a band member and gain a new one. Its a freaking band….Not ONE”..but a BAND. Therefore everyones opinion counts. Seems like these guys are so power control that no one can make a statement or an opinion. Yes it is more like My Way or the Highway…Just selfish if you ask me.Thats howcome probally no one last.

Just my opinion…but running a band is hard. When I put mine together…it was not based on talent. Let me explain:
Before my current band I had stops in about 10 others…that experience came in pretty handy. I was even in a band that nando was the front man for…so I know him VERY well.
What I learned was there can never NEVER be 2 chiefs. It must me the “1 chief with 100 Indians” formula.
What defines a “chief”? what defines an “indian”?…who knows?
I just know that both are something your born with…some people are passive…some are assertive =/
So back to the point…pick personalities when putting together your band!!! If you are a great musician…then you can make others just as great! So why pick allstar musicos????
Bass ass musicians usually carry bad ass attitudes to deal with…so when there is 5 bad asses together…99% of the time it will not work. Ego Ego Ego
…anyways…fernando is a bad ass MOFO…trust me…I seriously doubt theres any vocalist that can come to his level…and that fucker knows it…and you guys dont know half the stories that I could tell you about his ego! jajaja
Especially between him and AB when the Kings were still the Kings lol…
Just wanted to touch up on what Shevi was saying…im not too sure I agree with what you said. Just from my past experiences…I feel that a band should be a dictatorship…not a democracy…but like i said just my opinion!!!
Love this site!!

I dont agree yet AGAIN… (NMS) how can you have a band with no talent? And only a few need talent. I sure beg to differ….A band with not skills, talent, gift just plain out SUCKS..Its like you body..all your organs play a role and if one is bad then your health is bad. If you have one musician that has no talent at all then that makes you band sound like crap. YOu cant really cover that up..Just makes no sense. MY OPINION>>>>:D

I cant even understand what he is saying first off but I get the gist of it…as far as Im concerned, if he feels he has to move on to pursue personal goals then rock and roll…let’s see if he does something no else has done because I have yet to see anyone of this guys from both KK do anything for real…look at K1…..and now DJ Kane is back with AB….

To all the people that are so concerned about the kumbia kings or all stars or K1 or super reyes or whatever they go by these days, what does it matter if all the musicians are awesome or if really suck, or who is the big chief or who are the squaws/ cuz when the curtains go up and the light show starts; all that matters and whom they count on is that the greatest musician /bandleader is ready to play- no, not AB or Cruz or whoever: mr minidisc himself.
thank you, thank you very much.
to all the musicians who are true and REALLY play (LIVE), keep on keeping it real.
YALL FUCKIN ROCK

LOL!!! mr mindisc.awsome realization.JUSt my opinion but maybe homeboy wasnt meant for either one of those groups, maybe weve only seen the tip of the iceberg with what he has to offer in la onda. perhaps these two groups were merely a stepping stone to prepare for his musical destiny. I speculate that we might even see other players in these kk franchise style bands.
