Elida Reyna’s Single “Te Espero”

OMG!  Mainstream Tejano is starting to get better!  It starts with Elida’s new single “Te Espero.”

We told you:  2008 is going to be great!

The song is very lively and breaks away from the worn out urban cumbia sound.  Perhaps this is a new trend:  creating lively music, musica alegre.  I’m really not a big fan of Elida’s previous works (ok maybe a few), but this one is real catchy.  It seems as though Elida’s popularity has increased tremendously since the collaboration with Jesse Turner, Los Palominos, and Tex-Mex Records.  This new single is sure to draw more fans.

Her new album, entitled “Domingo,” will be out February 12, 2008 under Freddie Records.

You can hear the new song by visiting Elida’s MySpace page or by using the “New Singles” player on the right side of tBL.
