Iman’s New Single “Me Duele Quererte”

Iman has a new single out entitled “Me Duele Quererte” from their upcoming album “3:00 A.M.”

“Me Duele Quererte” is very interesting; it marks the beginning of a revolution in the Onda.  Why do I say that?  If you listen to it (available on their MySpace page or on the tBL New Singles player), you will notice that it does not follow the traditional Tejano / Conjunto / Norteño rhythm prison.  It has a fresh sound and keeps the traditional instruments (accordion, bass, bajo-sexto, drums, congas).  If you ask me, this song was well planned out (artistically).

This is exactly the kind of thing that will help the Onda evolve into something greater and more important.  This is the kind of stuff that will win back the masses that have left the Onda for Hip-Hop and Rock.  Very attractive, this song is.  Not only is the music appealing, but also the CD title.  I truly feel like it sets a certain mood for the album.  Just for kicks, put yourself in that spot:  Picture yourself at 3:00 in the morning.  What are you doing?  What do you feel?

The new album, “3:00 A.M.” is slated to be released next month (November 2007) under the Univision Records label.
