California Singer Mugged and Stabbed
The singer for California based band Ilusion Norteña was mugged and stabbed at a convenience store in Modesto, CA.
On Saturday December 22, 2007, Jose Andrade was on his way home from work when the unknown mugger made him handover his wallet (with all of his money) along with his cell phone, and proceeded to stab him. Police and ambulance services were dispatched immediately. Mr. Andrade was alive on the scene, however, he passed away while on the way to the hospital.
At this time, investigators are holding family and friends from viewing the body due to pending investigative work.
“We’re all hurting over here. His dream was to see us up there, and we’re going to continue for him. We’re ready to go at the beginning of the year, and will take him with us everywhere we go,” says Andy Meza, accordionist for the group.
A huge deal has been in the works for Ilusion Norteña, including a mega sponsorship by a well known corporation.

i heard them play at the Tejano fan fair, when they first started, thats sad what happend.

my prayers are with the family…yeah i had the pleasure to see these guys play at Fan Fare the last 2 years…such a senseless death….
