Tejano Magazine Shuts Down

After covering the Tejano scene for a good while (actual time not known), the owner of outside-of-Texas-based tejanomagazine.net decided it was time to retire.

Here at the Bloodline, we hate to see them go. As the Onda stands right now, there aren’t many websites (or good ones for that matter) that can mix the right formula to provide the Raza with what they crave.  Tejano Magazine was one of the few.

As quoted from the website (received from the this Google website cache):

Tejano Magazine will be closing the site after November..I hope everyone enjoyed the Tejano Magazine.net site.  Retirement as been on my mind for sometime.  Many myspace friends would like for me give some feedback on Tejano as I see it and where it is headed.  I hope to write some comments or post an mp3 on the subject by this weekend.  I will also post a messsage board for this month for people to leave me a message.  I want to thank everyone for all the great memories that I will treasure.

Hold on, let me wipe the tears away…Ok.  I’m ready to continue.

Damnit!  Come back!  The Onda needs you!  I’ll be honest with you folks.  The layout of the site and frequency of the updates was a winner in my book.

*sob*  We didn’t even get to see who the person of the year was  :(

From the bottom of our blood-soaked hearts, farewell Tejano Magazine.  You will be missed.

  1. THanks for the news, it is very disappointing indeed. Joe Alfaro is a real nice guy and did alot for alot of up and coming groups. God bless him.
