30th Annual Fiesta del Rancho in Concepcion

The Fiesta del Rancho is a huge festival in Concepcion, TX (a.k.a. La Chona) that has been going on for over fifty years. It is almost like your typical festival: food, arts & crafts, carnival games, small rides and best of all, good tejano, conjunto, and norteno music. What’s better than that? There’s not city around you. Puro pinche rancho! If you go to the fiesta, you’ll have lots of fun (and probably meet a lot of hot chicks too!).

Unfortunately, this years musical lineup is a bit disappointing. The only bands scheduled to perform are:

The Fiesta will be taking place October 5th, 6th, and 7th this year (2007) at the Concepcion Civic Center Fair Grounds; admission is $2. Here is a map if you need directions.

Stay tuned for updates.
