David y Los Tremendos (Beeville, TX)
Hey man, check out this South Texas conjunto…You wanna know what they’re called? You really wanna know? Huh, huh huh, do ya? LOL. They are David y Los Tremendos. This conjunto is based out of Beeville, TX.
If you visit their MySpace page, you can checkout some of the music they have to offer. They carry a very distinct style all around, especially those vocals. The singer has that old school tejano sound from the 60s and 70s that just sounds kickass. The bass, drums, and bajo-sexto keep the beat gliding smooth and steady. On the accordion, that Frankie does good in creating his own pisadas (anyone wanna run a spell check on that one?). Overall, these guys have an original sound and feel, and trust me: if you hear these guys live, you will definately dance your ass off.
Speaking of live, these guys will be performing on Saturday May 19th, 2007 at the Chic-a-Saw Club in Beeville from 9:00pm to 1:00am. Go check them out and hang with them, they’re real cool kats.
