Okay. We have some good news and some bad news. What happened was…….meh screw it, i’ll let you hear it straight from Chicas de Canela management:

“Chicas de Canela, Management, along with Freddie Records has decided to wait on the release of the new album till early 2008. But you will be hearing a single in December.
As of now, there are 12 finished tracks which include songs written by Chicas de Canela, Freddie Martinez Sr., Ramiro Serna and Ricardo Rosales from El Privilegio, and also well known writer, Juan Treviño.
There may be a couple more tracks added on to the twelve. We want to give the album variety, so you might hear a couple songs in there that are not expected.
As to the comment that you left regarding Chicas De Canela being another La Conquista, except under another label, well, I can say that the music has really no similarities, except for it being cumbia.
You may see a couple of familiar faces, maybe 3 to be exact. But only time will tell LOL…”

There you have it folks. Chicas de Canela in a nutshell. OMG Please tell me you understood it…… If not, it means this: Good news? CdC exists. Bad News? We have to wait till 2008. Its okay though, it makes sense. Right now, nothing is being released because, well, its almost the end of the year.
