Insecure Conquista Drinks Haterade???
If you know me well, you know that one of my pet peeves of the industry is the Odia. Okay, so you don’t speak Spanish. I hate the hate. LOL. Now, don’t get me wrong: there is a very fine line that distinguishes rivalry from hating. Hell, there’s even public hating and private hating. I’m not even saying not to hate anyone because there’s always a few…always. If you don’t like a band or a musician (bands and musician’s only fyi), that’s okay, but keep it to yourself.
What exactly am I getting at? One of our readers tipped us on this girl’s MySpace page which contained the following comments from Machy of La Conquista:
“ESTA FOTO ME RECUERDA A
LAS CHICAS DE CANDELA O CANOLA !!!JAJAJAJA CONQUISTA WANNA BE……”
” LAS CHIPASS DE CRAPNELA!!
JEJEJEJEJE ME ENTENDISTE?”

I think La Conquista (Univision / Q-Zone Records, corrected thanks to the crybaby hairstylist) might just be suffering from publicity withdrawal (maybe this post will help?), but more than anything: INSECURITY. Chicas de Canela (Freddie Records) has been receiving a hell of a lot of attention, not to mention the phone calls and e-mails that flood Freddie Records’ offices regarding CdC. For crying out loud, las Chicas de Canela’s music isn’t even out yet. How can you call them Conquista wannabes? After this, who could even want to be like Conquista anyway? And to the skeptics: I seriously doubt this was a joke, so that excuse is out the window.
On a side note, it is being rumored that LC gigs in Florida are being canceled. But that’s just a rumor going around…I guess you gotta let out that anger somehow, eh? Way to represent your group and label.
Didi and Cynni have no ill will or intention to respond to Macho’s Machy’s comment. Although upset, CdC has stated they will continue to do what they are doing; nobody will get in their way. Previous efforts have been made to try to steer them away from music, and nothing has stopped them. Now THAT’S girl power (the other rhymes with witch flower).
As I stated earlier, rivalry is one thing. Hating is another, and is not deserved. Can’t we all just get along? It would be better if we did. This will not get out of hand, and I can only hope that this crap stops. The Onda dies when you hate.

OH btw… since your so gungho about CdC (you know thats a hospital cleaner right) you might wanna keep up with what they are saying about La Conquista and what their “fans” (which how can you have fans if your music isn’t out yet anyway) are saying about them. I know for a fact that the “original” people from CdC started all this anyway… so get your stuff straight before you start bad mouthing people…. it just makes you look like an imbecile…

actually you’re wrong on all counts. i wasn’t tipped off by anyone from CdC. so you really don’t know anything. how can they have fans? they already had a following when they left LC. And how, pray tell, do you know CdC started this for a fact? back it up.
i would like to see your evidence pointing to that inference…I wasn’t bad mouthing

fan of their style of thinking: they are actually incorporating new ideas.
For the record: i have no relation to CdC nor with Freddie records; this blog is
independently owned and operated. get that much straight AT LEAST.
If the truth wasn’t there, it wouldn’t have been exposed.
Also keep in mind, when one hates another, the THING dies in every sense. Machy’s hating CdC causes the
Onda to die that much. Rivalry is one thing, hate is another. why are they upset with
CdC? I thought LC was friends with CdC even after they left? such is not the
case……..
actually, madame, if you go to the PUBLIC, i repeat PUBLIC MySpace page, its there in
Black, White, and Colour……so no. they were not keeping it to themselves.

first of all, its FAMOUS, not famours. k? secondly, they’re not copying LC. When you hear their music, you will hear the distinction. you obviously don’t know what you are talking about. this is not a publicity stunt. there are no parties involved BECAUSE i saw this with my eyes. someone tipped it, i saw it, i wrote it.

first off honey… since were using loving names here… i am not hot blooded. I don’t get blooded and people don’t piss me off. The proof that you want about CdC starting this off first is the fact that they left LC. I know that I am not an imbecile. You think you are so cool and collected, but I see right your words. You’re right you did email responses… three to be exact. If I could my replies to you they would be all in one reply just like yours. Machy doesn’t hate people, what’s the harm in a little fun. It’s people like you that take it out of proportion and post silly little things like this. The comments Machy will not be deleted or retracted because hey it’s all in good fun. And if you find one of CdC’s fans named Tejana Queen or something like that you will notice a really mean blog that this girl posted about LC a couple of months ago. Now everyone has their right to free speech. It’s in the amendments. So does this mean you are going to get mad at all the people who talk shit about Britney Spears and OJ Simpson. Of Course not because they aren’t latin. I know LC personally and I will say that the boyfriend of Cynni~POD~ called the boyfriend of one of the girls of LC and asked him to try to start drama between the two bands because it would be good for publicity. So I guess you’re helping him out with that. This I know for a fact. And the only reason CdC has a “following” as you say, is because of Machy Mony and Cecy the owners of La Conquista. meh…….like i stated earlier, we are not employed by anyone or any entity to write what we do. independently owned/operated. i dont think machy is a bad person, nor do i hate conquista (titles are catchers, are they not?)….as a matter of fact, when they played here in corpus at tejanoville, i had a static ad on my page for two weeks…….if i hated them i wouldn’t have had wasted my time making my own ad and posted in wasting my own webspace or time. no hate.
