Albert Zamora to Release New CD in May 2007

This past Friday was a blast. So my sister was bored (she lives in Kingsville, doy) and heard AZT was playing @ Tejano Ranch. If you know me, I’m not much of a going out person. But AZT, is one of the few bands I feel is worth my time.

Tejano Ranch (Kingsville) is a small place, and the crowd wasn’t big until 11:00. I’ll tell you though, once he started playing, the crowd came out of nowhere and blocked my front row view! Nonetheless, I had fun, and the fact that he recognized me made it even more enjoyable.

Albert has always been known to have such a powerful and technical style. Since the days of Milo, Manuel, and Steve, the sound has always been very…..wild, opposing anything of traditional past or even current standards.

His last CD (Que Viva La Musica de Acordeon, April 11, 2006) was a smash and somewhat of a revival. Their new label, Freddie Records, is taking good care of them. A year later, AZT is ready for another CD release. Will AZT stick to their trademark sound, or will it change? Stay tuned next time…
